{"id":122,"date":"2010-05-04T14:23:11","date_gmt":"2010-05-04T13:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.futurestechs.co.uk\/blog\/?p=122"},"modified":"2010-05-04T14:23:11","modified_gmt":"2010-05-04T13:23:11","slug":"ftse-trading-update-may-4th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.futurestechs.co.uk\/news\/2010\/05\/04\/ftse-trading-update-may-4th\/","title":{"rendered":"FTSE Trading Update &#8211; May 4th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Our clients are short the miners and banks &#8211; are you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\">Over the last few weeks  our viewing of the Technical Analysis charts has seen us increasing our bearish  slant on the FTSE, mainly citing Financials and Miners as the sectors looking  most vulnerable. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\">Last week we issued short  trade recommendations in BHP Billition at 2125, Xstrata at 1198, Barclays at 365  and the FTSE Index at 5632. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\">Incidentally some of our  best results in April were trades in the Finance Sectors, where we were long. We  are not just banging one drum. We use Technical Analysis to tell us which way  the market\u2019s heading, and we issue our trades accordingly. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\">We\u2019re still running the  short trades mentioned above, as are many of our clients who follow our service.
