Did you see this move in USDJPY coming?

Futurestechs News – Q1 2016

Recent calls

2016 has been an interesting year so far with Futurestechs clients benefiting from high conviction “calls” in a number of markets; flagging gains in Commodity market such as Gold and Oil whilst being on the right side of moves in Equity, Bond and Forex markets, one example being the big drop in USDJPY over recent months.

This was an excerpt from our USDJPY report on February 8th/9th when it was trading around 115-116:

Feb 8th: “116.50 is MASSIVE… Friday saw ANOTHER test and hold of 116.50 but I think it will continue to come under pressure and  I’d want to be short as I think the arrows are running out and the market may well have an appetite for a fight”

Feb 9th: “Indeed how it’s panning out as we’ve seen weakness to 115.20 yesterday and 114.22 overnight before some buyers were found. This buying may have already run out of steam though and we’d definitely be selling rallies now unless 116.50 is retaken, targeting 106.60”.

Futurestechs’ Director Clive Lambert has recently rejoined the board of the UK Society of Technical Analysts, and is looking forward to helping the Society on the Marketing and Educational sides of things.

He continues to deliver regular seminars on the Society’s highly rated Diploma Course as well as the Level 1 courses at the LSE and Queen Mary University of London.

He also recently presented a Webinar for IFTA (The International Federation of Technical Analysis) on advancements in Market Profile. Members of IFTA affiliated societies will soon be able to view this Webinar as it was recorded.
